Pre-Guardian Node — First week stats
The Theta Pre-Guardian Node program is off to a great start! For those who aren’t familiar, the PGN is an early preview of Guardian Nodes, the 2nd layer of nodes in Theta’s multi-BFT consensus mechanism. For more info, check out our previous blogs:

In the first week the program has shown some promising early adoption metrics:
Verified Pre-Guardian Nodes: 467
Total Theta Tokens ‘staked’ in PGN client: 68,323,295
Average stake per node: 146,303
Pending TFUEL earnings to be distributed to nodes: 208,768
We’re very excited to see almost 500 users of the PGN client in just the first week, and nearly 7% of all Theta Tokens accounted for! All this despite the fact that TFUEL earnings are just a fraction of what users will earn for running an actual Guardian Node once they launch in Q3 of this year. It’s thanks to our dedicated Theta community, and a great sign for adoption of the Guardian Node protocol later this year.
A few other notes:
We know there are a lot of Mac users who are eager to run the PGN client! We hear you and will have news on that coming up, as well as a Linux version potentially.
